1. Use Azure Reserved Instances
Azure Reserved Instances offer up to 70% savings compared to pay-as-you-go pricing when you commit to a 1 or 3-year term. These reservations are ideal for workloads with consistent demand e.g. virtual machines (VMs), databases or other compute services. Reserved instances reduce uncertainty by locking in discounts and allowing for predictable long-term expenses.
Navigate to Reservations and purchase reservations as shown below.
To monitor reservation usage, you can go to Azure Cost Management + Billing -> Cost Management -> Reservations and check for “Reservation Transactions and Reservation Usage”.
